Natural materials and careful plant selection were used to bring the outdoor rooms of this house into harmony with the beautiful timber cladding of the house. Natural rock steppers and Castlemaine rocks ground the garden and provide a sense of flow. Doryanthes furnish the front aspect with gorgeous bursts of colour while adding an architectural flourish to offset the vertical cladding. A new buffalo lawn gives the young children a verdant play area while the grown ups relax around the outdoor dining area. Bamboo provides a beautiful green screen along one fence that is transformed at nightime with tasteful strip lighting.
